Ingredients
- 500 g shredded cooked chicken or beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup shredded Oaxaca or mozzarella cheese
- 12 flour tortillas
- Oil for frying
- Mexican crema, salsa roja, shredded lettuce, queso fresco
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté the diced onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Mix in the shredded meat, cheese, salt and pepper, and cook until heated through.
- Warm the tortillas to make them pliable.
- Spoon filling onto each tortilla, roll tightly and secure with a toothpick.
- Heat oil to 180°C and fry the flautas until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve with crema, salsa and lettuce.
