Crispy rolled tortillas stuffed with shredded chicken or beef, fried until golden and served with crema and salsa.

Ingredients

  • 500 g shredded cooked chicken or beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup shredded Oaxaca or mozzarella cheese
  • 12 flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying
  • Mexican crema, salsa roja, shredded lettuce, queso fresco
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the diced onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Mix in the shredded meat, cheese, salt and pepper, and cook until heated through.
  3. Warm the tortillas to make them pliable.
  4. Spoon filling onto each tortilla, roll tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Heat oil to 180°C and fry the flautas until golden and crispy on all sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve with crema, salsa and lettuce.
