Ingredients

  • 2 cups masa harina
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • Crumbled queso fresco
  • Mexican crema and shredded lettuce
  • Salsa roja or verde

Instructions

  1. Knead masa harina with water into a soft dough.
  2. Form thick discs and cook on a comal for 1 minute per side.
  3. Pinch up the edges while warm to form a rim.
  4. Crisp in a little oil, then layer beans, lettuce, crema, cheese and salsa.
