Ingredients

  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 white onion, finely diced
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash with a fork to your desired consistency — chunky or smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the diced onion, jalapeños, cilantro, garlic and tomatoes.
  4. Squeeze lime juice over everything and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or alongside any Mexican dish.
